Let us take you on an extraordinary excursion every Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday from 3rd February to 30th October 2024.
The day begins with a ride on a GoldenPass-MOB scenic train from Montreux or Zweisimmen. In Château-d’Oex, you will discover the secrets of making a Swiss alpine cheese. At the restaurant Le Chalet, the farmer makes one “Le Chalet Bio” cheese per day from 400 litres of fresh milk over an open wood fire. The demonstration is done in a traditional way, over a wood fire. Enjoy your delicious fondue in this rustic setting. Above the restaurant on the first floor, you will find the GoldenPass MOB trains miniature railway, which will make brightly shining in the eyes of all visitors. To remind you of this excursion, a “souvenir bag” will be given to you in the restaurant. In the afternoon, visit the Musée du Pays-d'Enhaut, where you can discover the treasures of local crafts and the art of paper-cutting.
The return time to your starting point or the onward journey on the GoldenPass MOB trains is at your free choice. Reserving a seat for this is recommended but not included in the price.

Every Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday from 3rd February to 30th October 2024. The offer will not be available on 10th, 13th and 14th April 2024.
Departure times: Montreux 08.50 / 09.50 / 10.50 Zweisimmen 09.02 / 10.02 / 11.02 The journey time of the GoldenPass MOB trains to Château-d’Oex is approx. 1 hour. Timetables are subject to change. The return or onward journey times are free.
Cancellation free of charge up to 7 days before the date of travel. From 6 to 3 days: Cancellation possible with CHF 10.00 fee. Change of dates* free of charge. From 2 days: No cancellation and change possible, no refund. * A change of date requires a new order. We will cancel the previous order once we have confirmed the new order.
